I’ve never understood well the Android navigation bar. I have not understood why it has never had more utility, mainly on those mobile phones that have this navigation bar and virtualized Android buttons. And it seems that now Google will change this navigation bar to make it 100% customizable, a feature that could come with the first update of the new version, Android 7.1 Nougat.

Android 7.0 Nougat has just arrived to the first Nexus and we are already talking about which would be a feature of a future update.
